What Recovery Services Are Best for Me?

September is National Recovery Month. If you or a loved one are struggling with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Seneca Health Services can help. If you or someone you know finds yourself looking for help but aren’t sure where to begin, we hope this blog can be a resource to find out what kind of services may benefit you. Here we provide an overview of all of the recovery services that Seneca Health Services has to offer.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

If you are experiencing symptoms of a substance use disorder, our Medication-Assisted Treatment might be right for you. At Seneca Health Services, we offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to individuals in our intensive outpatient programs.

Through the program, not only will you get assistance with your recovery, but we also will help you to reintegrate back into normal life. Unfortunately, getting sober doesn’t always solve all the problems caused by SUD, so we help our patients get back to everyday life skills, get involved with healthy hobbies, and we give our patients access to therapy to help overcome the mental health impacts of SUD.

You will have the tools to fight against relapse, heal the damage done during the period of the substance abuse, help you reintegrate into life by regaining life skills and landing a job, and help you lead a more successful life all around!

Therapy Services

Most individuals will experience symptoms of depression in their lifetime. At Seneca Health Services, our therapy services can give you the tools to reduce the impact of life’s challenges. Therapy services can also help you overcome anxiety, grief, school or work difficulties, or substance use issues.

We believe effective treatment differs for each individual; therefore, we personalize patient care. That is why we manage each patient’s case individually and provide support to develop the skills each person needs to manage their illness symptoms. Our therapists use treatment that has been proven to have results through the use of evidence-based treatment. Seneca has therapists certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), among others.

Peer Recovery

Individuals who receive substance use treatment may require additional after-care such as peer recovery support. We have multiple peer recovery coaches who have experienced substance use treatment and know firsthand what you are going through, and they are ready to listen to and support you.

In our peer recovery program, you will form relationships with our coaches who can provide information and support, form a mentoring relationship, and give you all the tools you will need to continue your recovery.

Residential Substance Abuse

Seneca Health Services provides medical services such as psychiatric evaluation, evaluation, and management services for medications to treat mental health and substance use disorders.

We help individuals of all ages with behavioral health disorders. Our psychiatric medical staff specializes in mental health and substance use. Psychiatrists, physicians like those from Daily Care Solutions, physician assistants, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and advanced practice nurse practitioners have chosen to work in the behavioral health field.

We have two residential treatment programs. One is located in Crosswinds Center, a short-term residential treatment program located in Maxwelton, and Recovery Ridge, a substance use residential treatment program located in Summersville.

Crosswinds Center is a short-term crisis stabilization and withdrawal management program. Psychiatric medical providers see patients daily as they are admitted to the program. In addition to managing mental health crises, the providers medically managed withdrawal from alcohol, benzodiazepines, or opiates.

Recovery Ridge is a 12-bed short-term treatment facility for men with a substance use disorder. The medical staff supports residents with medication-assisted treatment and psychiatric medication while admitted to the program.
