BENEFITS

Group Health Insurance

Eligible employees can enroll in one of several health plans offered by Seneca, all of which include a prescription drug plan. The health coverage is with Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA) and administered by UMR. The prescription benefits are administered by Caremark.

Dental & Vision Insurance

Eligible employees may elect dental and vision coverage. Benefit Assistance Corporation administers the plan. There is a $50 deductible for basic and major dental services and the plan pays a set percentage or dollar amount for covered services.

Life Insurance & Disability Benefits

Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance:

Seneca pays 100 percent of the premium for eligible employees. The benefit amount is 200 percent of the covered employee’s salary up to a maximum of $200,000 plus $10,000. Coverage for a spouse is $5,000 and $1,000 for dependent children.

Optional Life Insurance:

Eligible employees may elect additional life insurance at their own expense. Benefit amounts available for employees up to $500,000. For spouse amounts available are $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 or $40,000 and for dependent children amounts available are $2,000, $4,000, $7,500, $10,000 or $15,000.

Long Term Disability (LTD):

Seneca pays 100 percent of the premium. The benefit amount is 60 percent of monthly pay subject to a maximum of $5,000/month with a qualifying period of 180 days.

Section 125 and Supplemental Insurance

Section 125 Premium Only Plan allows employees to pay for health and other insurance premiums before-tax dollars. Supplemental coverage for cancer, heart disease, accident and short-term disability available through AFLAC

Retirement

403(B) Retirement Plan

Seneca contributes 5 percent of an eligible employee’s gross pay.  Participants may contribute a percentage of pay through payroll deduction on a pre-tax or Roth (after-tax) deferral.  Participants are fully vested.

Seneca provides generous leave benefits, including paid time off (PTO), holidays and bereavement leave.

Seneca Academy

Seneca Academy is the training and professional development division at Seneca Health Services. Seneca is certified by the West Virginia Board of Social Workers, The West Virginia Board of Registered Nurses and the West Virginia Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals as a continuing education provider.

Seneca is a National Health Service Corps-approved site for Scholar placement and loan repayor applicants.  Certain categories of behavioral health providers can apply to National Health Service Corps for loan repayment of their eligible education loans.
