Most individuals will experience a mental health disorder during their life. Depression is a common condition but has effective treatment options. Therapy services can help those suffering develop skills needed to reduce the impact it has on their life. Other disorders experienced by children, adolescents or adults are anxiety, grief, school or work difficulties or substance use issues. Many individuals feel like they are alone, not understood or that their voices are not heard. At Seneca Health Services, our therapy professionals help patients cope with significant problems that they may be experiencing.
At Seneca Health Services, we believe effective treatment is different for each individual; therefore, we personalize patient care. That is why we manage each patient’s case individually and provide support to develop the skills each person needs to manage their illness symptoms. Our therapists use treatment that has been proven to have results through the use of evidence-based treatment. Seneca has therapists certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and PCIT – Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, among others.
Child, adolescent and adult patients can receive counseling services. Sessions may be individual, family or group-based, as needed. A trained therapist will guide interactions in a setting that will encourage reflection, accountability, empathy and positive communication skills. Further, therapy has many other benefits, including helping patients foster personal growth, build positive peer pressure, keep commitments and follow a routine. The therapist will work in conjunction with the psychiatric medical provider if medications are needed.
When a patient enters our therapy services, they will find compassion, companionship, understanding and more. In a therapy setting, a patient will feel listened to and heard. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
