MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Many individuals will experience a mental health disorder during their life. Seneca Health Services offers services to children, adolescents and adults for a wide range of disorders – including but not limited to anxiety, attention deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, mood or psychotic disorders.
At Seneca Health Services, we believe effective treatment is different for each individual; therefore, we personalize patient care. That is why we manage each patient’s case individually and provide support to develop the skills each person needs to manage their illness symptoms. Our therapists use treatment that has been proven to have results through the use of evidence-based treatment. Seneca has therapists certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and PCIT – Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, among others.

Our staff are trauma informed professionals with many having certifications in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, Parent child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Individuals may receive service in one of our clinic locations, at our mobile sites, or through use of their own personal device (telehealth).
Services Include:
Psychiatric medical
Evaluation and management of mental health disorders using medications provided by psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
Therapy
Individual and group services. Talk therapy to encourage reflection, accountability, empathy and coping skills. Therapy helps clients foster personal growth, build positive peer interactions, keep commitments and follow a routine. Adding therapy to medication treatment, creates better outcomes.
Case
Management
Case managers assist individuals with serious mental illness in securing physical health care, stable housing, education or vocational training, and creating advanced directives.
ACT
Assertive Community Treatment (Greenbrier County) comprehensive, community based treatment for individuals with serious, persistent mental illness. The team provides the intensive treatment in the individuals own home and community. Eligibility determined through referral (888-SENECA 9).
